"Oh great now I am late for training. I feel so tired. I want to skip training." said Grace she pulled the covers over her head. But soon after, the covers were pulled away and out of her reach.
"Wake up we have to train." said Lene.
"I don't want to." said Grace. "Well then fine." said Lene.
"I guess you are afraid that you will lose to us." said Teri.
"As if. Let's go." she said getting up as some as she heard the challenge. So they went to the same secluded field and trained with Love and Hope.
They tried dodging their attacks by using weapons and jumping around. They ended the session at about 7.30am.
"I'm beat." said Teri.
"Well you were all very impressive." said Hope.
"Well thanks but you weren't bad yourself." said Grace."You too Love."
"We better go back to change and get ready for breakfast. " said Lene.
So after they had taken a shower and changed, they went down. Everyone was already seated and the only open places were beside Syusuke, Jake and Jewel. Then Lene quickly sat next to Jake and Jewel. No one wanted to sit near him because of his weird eating habits. Grace had forgot about them but she remembered them well. Just sitting beside him could make you lose your appetite. The rest were warned the night before. Then Mr Reed entered the room.
"Good Morning. I know you are all waiting for your breakfast so here is the menu." he said. Then with a swish of his hand, a menu appeared in front of everyone. "Just order what you want and the food would appear in front of you." He looked through the menu and said " Eggs, bacon and earl tea." After that, eggs, bacon and a cup of earl tes appeared in front of him. So eveyone followed him and order what they wanted. Everyday, there were different types of food from different countries.
Suddenly there came a pungent smell. Everyone pinched their noses.
"What is that smell?" said Laura.
"That." said Yuuta pointing in his brother's direction. Syusuke had mixed pepper, chilli sauce and wasabi into his salad. It was suppose to be a dressing for the salad but it became a sauce with a dressing of salad. Luckily everyone was able to stop themselves from puking not only from the smell but the unsightly colour. The only thing he could say was that he liked spicy food. But soon everyone adapted to his weird food taste.
After breakfast, they had their first lesson on changing their necklaces. Those who had already gotten their necklaces learnt how to change them into staffs and wands. Those who did not have their pendants yet, practiced their special powers till they were at a level that their pendants would appear. With the intensive training, they were all able to change their necklaces into wands and staffs by the second week. Everybody's staffs were about 1 meter long except for Grace's and Syusuke's.
Lene had an orangey red staff with a red flame that flickered like a real one at the top. Lene had a dark red wand with a red flame pattern at the bottom. Then Sk had a navy blue wand with waves that were of different colours and the waves felt like real water. Her wand was navy blue with a light blue wave pattern at the bottom. Jewel had a beige staff with a white cloud on the top which would disappear or separate into smaller pieces when you touched it. She had a wand that was brown with pictures of fluffy white clouds at the bottom. Carol had a light green staff which had vines around it and if anyone bad tried to take it, the vines would wrap itself around the person. Her wand was dark green and had vines wrapped at the bottom. Laura's one was silver and had two silver rings at the end that could be taken off and be manipulated into any shape. Laura had a black wand but instead of having vines below, it was covered by metal. David had one with a black staff and a yellow lightning bolt which would shock someone who was bad when they touched it. His wand was black with lightning bolts at the bottom. Yuuta had a staff that was white and there was a red cross on top which had tiny wings at the side and would extend whenever a spell was used. Yuuta's wand was white with a picture of a red cross and wings at the side.
Kimiko had a pendant in the shape of a dolphin as that was her favourite animal. Her staff was greenish blue which had a dolphin on top. Her wand had pictures of animals. At the bottom, there were animals that lived in the sea. In the middle were animals that lived on land and at the top were animals that lived in that could fly. Kunimitsu had a pendant which had a grayish white cloud with a yellow lightning bolt in front, a golden sun behind and clear blue water droplets (suppose to be rain) below it. The same figure appeared at the top of his staff which was grey in colour. His dark grey wand had the same design as his pendant at the bottom. Jake had a pendant that was in the shape of an ice cube and it was the same colour as well. When it changed into a staff, it had had the same clear effect as an ice cube and at the top, there were icicles coming out. His wand was the color of ice with some icicles coming out at the bottom. His sister, Erin had a pendant that looked like flowing lava that was hardened. She had an orange staff that had magma that was pouring out from the top but it was not hot at all. Her wand was the same colour as magma and had some hardened lava at the bottom. Matt had a pendant of a grey ghost and his black staff had the same figure on top which had the cloth like figure fluttering. He had a black wand which had a picture of a ghost that looked identical to his pendant at the bottom. Teri's necklace had a pink heart and a silver arrow through it. Her staff was like a long silver arrow which reflected a slight pink in the sun and at the top was a big pink heart. Her wand was silver with a slight pink and there was a pink heart on it at the bottom.
Grace had a wand that was dark purple with a yellow star at the bottom. Syusuke had a cerulean blue wand with the ying and yang symbol at the bottom. Both had learnt how not to use incantations to change their pendants into necklaces into staffs and wands. Grace also learnt how to use her card as well.
Then they had a break. Usually some would take a walk in the fields or at the beach. Others would clean up for lunch and some would take the time to rest as it was quite demanding. Lunch was conducted the same way as breakfast. Everyone always enjoyed their food and they got to try different types of food.
The next lesson was on Hogwarts subjects. Before they had their wands to do most spells, they learnt about the history of magic, herbology, divination, arithmancy, care of magical creatures, potions and ancient runes. Other subjects were transfiguration, defense against the dark arts and spells & charms. One day, they were usually taught 3 different subjects.
One day they were taught potions and created their sprites. It took quite a long process so instead of studying 3 subjects, they only learnt about potions that day. They got started by making a pot full of ingredients and when it was ready, Mr Reed asked them to dip their pendants into the concoction. Then they started to glow and Mr Reed said a spell.
"Open the doors of creation
For life is needed to be made
And help is needed to save."
Suddenly the glow on their pendants had become a blinding light. "Hold hands." said Mr Reed. So they did and the light grew stronger. Grace and Syusuke who were sitting down and watching the whole process could hardly see anything as well but could see some tiny human shaped creatures that were palm sized coming from their friends necklaces. When the creatures eyes had opened, the light disappeared.
"These are your new sprites. Say hello. Each of them has the same character as you just with some minor adjustments." said Mr Reed while he flashed his Cheshire cat grin. "Introduce yourself and play nice."
"Hi!" said the sprites all at once. Everyone was shocked. Some actually went to start poking the sprites to see if they were real. Syusuke also had his eyes open (remember something big) and went to start observing them quickly. The sprites were tired of their behavior and flew out of their grasp. They all looked angry.
"Now, now play nice. Come down and introduce yourselves." said Mr Reed. So they all introduced themselves.
Lene had a red girl sprite whose name was Amber and had hair was made of fire. Sk had a blue girl sprite named Rain whose hair was long and made of water while instead of having legs, she had a tail like a mermaid. Jewel had a beige female sprite named Breeze and her clothes were made out of clouds. Carol's sprite was called Leaf and she was light green in colour with leaves as hair. Laura had a silver male sprite that had short spiky hair that was made out of metal and could extend out and he wore a pair of glasses. Teri had a pink sprite whose name was arrow and had some heart shaped of hearts that held her back her hair and she held on to a bow and arrow.
David had a yell0w guy sprite called Spike that had hair like lightning bolts. Matt had a black female sprite called Spirit and her hair was grey instead of black. Jake's sprite, Ice was a male and was the colour of clear crystals and his hair was made of icicles. Erin's sprite was a girl which was called Magma and she was reddish orange in colour and had hair like lava. Kunimitsu had a female sprite called storm and she was grey in colour with her hair looking like a storm cloud and there was some small zaps of lightning around it. Kimiko had a greenish blue male sprite called Fin who had a tail like Rain. Yuuta had a white sprite called Angel which was a girl and had her hair in two buns and was wearing a nurse uniform with her hat and the sleeve having a red cross on it. They were all so cute. (to me Angel is so cute to think that she is ducked out in a nurse's uniform. It makes her the healer's helper). So they all learnt how to call on their sprites. Whenever they needed help, they would call their names and they would emerge from their necklaces. Seeing us they were having fun, Mr Reed cancelled all classes for the rest of the day and let them have fun.But usually, they would have sports and games next. Sometimes, they would learn new languages. They all picked a language to learn. Grace, Lene and Syusuke chose French. German for Kunimitsu, Erin and Matt. Spanish for Jake, Jewel, Yuuta and Kimiko. Egyptian for Sk, Laura and David and Japanese for Carol and Teri. They all worked hard and soon were able to speak fluently.During sports and games, they could either pick up a sport or learn martial arts. However it was compulsory to learn martial arts for 1 hour and they were to complete basic training. Since Grace, Lene and Teri could easily ace this class they each had an extra hour for their sport. Kunimitsu, Erin and Jake were also fast learner as they had experience so they finished the course easily as well. Grace, Syusuke, Kunimitsu and Yuuta took up tennis. Laura, Lene, Jewel, Jake and David took up basketball. Erin and Kimiko had taken up swimming while Sk and Matt decided on running. Lastly, Teri took up archery while Carol took up yoga.They all had fun during classes as it was interesting. On the weekends, they had free time so they could do anything they wanted. Sometimes they would go to town to explore what England was like. -End of Chapter-
