Grace and Nicholas sat down near the lake and talked.
"So this is where you have been the last time 10 years. I did not think that the school you were talking about was this one. I only saw you like 5 times during this 10 years. Why couldn't you visit more. All you do is write and I miss you."
"Well I missed you too. I couldn't visit because I had to do work for Dumbledore and besides I couldn't let anyone tail me home and get you especially Voldermort. You're too precious too me
you know. But I am so proud off you. You got into gryffinndor just like me and you have become the mistress of the cards."
"That's sweet of you. Guess what I'm a sorcerer too. But I wonder Professor Clow said that sorcerers can never be muggle-born. They can only be born from sorcerers only."
"Maybe its because your special that's why." said her brother rather hesitantly and Grace noticed at once.
"Is there something you are keeping from me?"
"No. Why would I be?" Then he quickly changed the subject. "Was that Syusuke I saw with you? Did he do anything to you. Dumbledore never told me that brat was coming." he said in a rather angry tone. He knows what happened to Grace. The Grace gave out a small laugh. "What's so funny?"
"You sound like Kunimitsu. So overprotective of your little sister."
"Like I care. Oh before I forget did you see Choutarou your long lost love." teased her brother.
Grace blushed. "He isn't my long lost love. Why you!" Then she was about to hit her brother but he blocked her. Then she was about to kick him but he grabbed her leg and tossed her upside down and she landed with a bump.
"Don't forget I was taught by the same person as you." Then he went to help his sister up but she kicked him off his feet. "Sneaky as always I see."
"Master always said to never let your guard down." Master taught them martial arts.
"Yeah I forgot that one." said her brother rubbing his head while getting up. Then they sat back down and talked about old times. They talked until Grace fell asleep on her brother's shoulders. 'I guess she's tired. She had a long day. Better bring her back to her dorm.' thought Nicholas. Then he carried he back to her dorm.
~Outside the fat lady~
"Oh hello Nicholas."
"Good evening fat lady. Nincompoop."
The fat lady then swung the door open and he entered the common room. There were 3 people still up. Lene, Erin and Syusuke noticed Nicholas walk in with a sleeping Grace in his arms. He walked pass Syusuke practically ignoring his existence. Then he walked towards Lene and Erin.
"Where is the girl's dorm?"
"Follow us." said Lene and followed them up while Syusuke was left in common room alone.
On the way up to the dorm, Nicholas asked "So do you know what you all are going to be doing tomorrow?"
"Yup! Dumbledore sent us a letter just now. Though Grace is going to have the most work cut out for her. She has both tennis and martial arts to deal with and she also has to help freeze the lake." said Erin then she showed him the paper which said who was in charge of what.
Soccer- Harry, David, Jake, Matt, Ron (Helper)
Ice Skating- Hermoine, Erin, Carol, Ginny (Helper)
Tennis- Grace, Syusuke, Kunimitsu, Yuuta, Choutarou
Basketball- Laura, Jewel, Lene, Sk, Draco (Helper)
Archery- Teri, Kimiko, Ying, Hope, Fred (Helper)
Martial Arts- Grace, Professor Nicholas, Faith, George (Helper)
Please inform these people to meet in the great hall by 7am. Thank you.
"We have no choice for martial arts as Grace is the only one who is on the same level as me. I tend to go overboard and the rest of you would get hurt." said Nicholas. Then they reached the girl's room. Nicholas put her on her bed tucked her in, said goodnight to the girls and left quietly. Then he walked back down the stairs and saw Syusuke still there.
"You! You better stay away from my sister and if you ever hurt her again I will personally murder you." With that he stormed off.
~Next day~
Grace just woke up from a dream. It was a weird one. 'It was so scary, everything was burning and my parents were surrounded by fire. There was a vicious laugh coming from a hooded figure and then there was a scream. I hope there was nothing to it.' she thought. Then she saw Lene, Erin and Hermoine surrounding her.
"Are you alright? You're sweating." asked Hermoine.
"Don't worry. I'm fine." replied Grace.
"Then you better hurry. Its already 6.30 and we have to be in the great hall by 7 for the debrief." said Lene. After hearing that, Grace ran out off the room and into the bathroom to have a quick shower. She came out wearing blue shorts, a white shirt, a beige jacket and sneakers.
"We better hurry. Wait we need our gear before we go." said Erin. "Erm Hermoine you go see whether the rest are awake yet." Then she left. "Grace we need you to use create and create us a few things."
"Sure, what do you need?" Grace said as she called upon create.
"Well we need 10 tennis rackets, 3 for yourself, 50 tennis balls, 5 basketballs and a pump, 20 pairs of ice skates, 5 soccer balls and a pump as well and 10 sets of bows and arrows." said Lene.
"Isn't that a lot and don't Teri and Kimiko have their own bows." said Grace.
"Well yeah but their bows are only allowed to be used by them and the goods Mr Clow said would be easier to get by create. Oh ya you also have to help my brother freeze the lake later." said Erin.
"What am I a servant?" said Grace.
"Stop complaining. We need to go now." said Lene. Then they left the room with all the stuff with Grace having to float them in mid-air. They met up with the rest of the people from Gryffindor and ran towards the Great Hall since they were about to be late. When they reached, everyone was already waiting there.
"Come sit, sit." said Dumbledore. "You all know what you have to do right. Well we will start at 9am. However we will have to start preparing by 7.30. Have your breakfast while we have the debrief. Thank you for having accepted this task on such short notice. After breakfast, Draco, Carol, Ron and Kimiko please do to your dorms and wake everyone up and tell them to be in the great hall by 8.30 to have their breakfast. Grace, Syusuke, Erin, Lene, Sk, Laura, Kunimitsu, Jake and Teri will leave to set up what they need for their demonstration and Professor Reed will help you. The rest of you will sort out the stuff behind you (the stuff Grace created) and bring it to the designated places. Each place has a sign to tell you where each activity will be held. For those who have finished eating may now leave to do your job."
So they all left. Grace and Jake left to freeze the lake. Laura made the poles needed for the basketball and tennis courts and soccer field. Then Grace had sand to cover the areas needed for the basketball courts and Lene and Erin melted it make it hard. Then Sk cooled it down with water. The rest helped to set up the nets needed and the archery field. By 8.45 they were done and prepared and all the students were in the Great Hall already. They students would be going in their houses with each group stopping at each stop for 2 hours
By 9am, you could see the students filing out off the castle. (I will describe every stop one by one.) At the tennis courts, each one took turns to show different shots such as top spins and slice shots. Then there were matches played both in doubles with Syuuske-Yuuta pair VS Grace-Choutarou pair and Kunimitsu as the umpire. The match lasted for about 45 minutes then it went on to a singles match between Syusuke and Choutarou and another match between Yuuta and Grace. In the Syusuke VS Choutarou match they were playing like their life depended on it. Only they and Kunimitsu knew why they were playing so hard. The winner of the most number of matches gets to take Grace to the ball. They had made that deal yesterday in their room with Kunimitsu as their witness. He had made sure that there would be a no tie break game since he knew that it would go on for a long time. Each one of them had shown the crowd their special moves. Yuuta his 'rising shot' and 'twist spin shot'. Choutarou his invisible swing' and 'scud serve'. Kunimitsu his 'Zero-shiki Drop shot' and 'Tezuka Zone'. Syusuke his 'Disappearing serve' and all his 'triple counters' except 'hakugei'. Grace her 'Cyclone serve' and 'sakura shot'. Everyone was so excited that they wanted to try out tennis too. Grace had to go hide and use create to make more rackets using create. Grace had left after the second group had finished. By the end of the day, Syusuke and Choutarou were still in a tie.
At the lake, you could see the 3 girls skating very well. They were doing turns and piorets. Everyone was 'owing' and 'awing' at them. They were very graceful. Girls were amazed but guys were saying it was too sissy for them. Then the 3 girls skated towards the guys and at the same time sprayed them with ice. Ginny was laughing. Then they asked for volunteers but only girls wanted to try. Then a hand shot up. It was Neville. He tried skating but he eventually fell down. But then the girls held on to his hands and helped him to skate. When the guys saw this, they all quickly wanted to skate with the girls. They quickly dashed towards the skates. It was chaos but soon were getting very organised. Some guys actually pretended to fall down so that the girls would help them.
At the basketball courts, the girls were giving a demonstration on the different shots then they asked for volunteers. Some guys put up their hands and went one on one with the girls. The guys got cocky saying how if girls could play, they would probably be better. However, they were so wrong. They were totally thrashed by them. After that embarrassing scene, they had a few sets of games and showed them how to count the scores and what fouls are. In the end, all the girls were laughing at guys for being such cocky jerks as they had been totally creamed.
At the soccer field, there was a demonstration by the group. However, it was more like only Harry, Matt and Ron. Jake and David were trying to fight it out in the other field. As Grace was passing by Matt asked for a little help. Then Grace nodded and then she walked over to the fighting duo and gave them each an excruciating punch in the stomach. After that the 2 of them had to rest and sit out the demonstration. Harry and Matt showed the crowd how they could use their head, legs and chest only and only the goalkeeper could use their hands. They also taught them the rules of the game. Then they had a few games for people to try out. It seem Matt was much better than the rest of the guys surprisingly even though he had that geeky look.
At the archery field, Ying and Hope were in their human forms and all were dressed in yutakus. They were explaining what archery required and that it is a dangerous sport. Then they shot a few arrows each with a bull's eye. Their aims were fantastic. Then Ying was about to hit an arrow but when she saw Hope looking at her and he gave her a smile, she lost concentration and missed the target and it ended up hitting a few trees and nearly hitting the crowd. Guess where it ended up. Some how it managed to hit right smack in the middle of the target. However, when asked to try out the sport few were willing to as they were afraid to hurt themselves but then Kimiko assured them that it would be alright. Soon some plucked up their courage and gave it a shot. Most were misses but some managed to actually hit the board.
Lastly, at the martial arts area Professor Nicholas was waiting for his sister to arrive while he engaged the crowd in a talk on what martial arts was about and how it should be used. It should be used to protect not to fight. However, Professor Nicholas was shirtless and wearing only slacks so the female section of the crowd was more engrossed in looking at his body then listening to him. The area was filled with weapons of swords and spears. Love and Faith were in their true forms awaiting some instruction. Then Grace arrived just in time for the demonstration.
"Sorry I'm late. Had some trouble at the soccer field."
"Nevermind. Let's start."
"With weapons? Against guardians or each other?"
"Anything and each other. Haven't spared with you for a long time."
"Ok. We start without then later with."
Then their heated battle began. They each threw punches and kicks at each other hoping to beat the other. Then later began to use weapons. Grace had a sword while Nicholas had a spear. Nicholas seemed to have the upper hand and he had given her a wound on the arm. However all Grace could give his brother was a tiny cut on the stomach and it wasn't even deep. Then they Professor Nicholas explained the different types of martial arts and weapons while Grace faced the 2 guardians. She had sustained a burn on the arm while trying to dodge Faith's arrow. Then Nicholas joined in. He had gotten hurt from one off Faith's arrow while trying to protect his sister. By the end of the day, the 2 siblings had sustained quite a few wounds and were very tired that they could hardly move. They had to get Yuuta to heal them but even that was not enough. They had to stay overnight at in the ward under Madam Pomfrey's watchful eye.
At the end of the day, a lot of students had sign up for the sports and classes for it will start 2 weeks later. Not many people signed up for martial arts seeing how dangerous it was even though Professor Nicholas was teaching the class.-End of Chapter-
